If you turn out the light and look out of your bedroom on a clear night, you will see a myriad of stars filling the dark night sky. Each one, sparkling, flashing and flickering; each one like a precious jewel, trying to outshine its neighbour and attract the wandering eye.

When the Universe was young, there were very few stars, but as it aged and others were added, a few special stars were included. This is the legend of one that was very special:

This twinkling dot of energy has flashed through the Heavens, spreading a message of Peace and Goodwill to All. Now, with thousands of years of labour successfully completed, it rests, justly proud and contented, among its offspring. It was never the largest star, nor the brightest and now it is happy to be outshone by its children, as it shelters in the backdrop of the darkened sky.

Today, few stargazers are fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of its simple delicate beauty; for to find it, they must search as deep within their hearts, as they do within the boundless sky! It's multi-coloured beams of light are like no other in the galaxy and the legend of how it gained immortality is also like no other.
